Mobile Welding Job On Tesla Super Charger

 






Last year, because of COVID, Potential Electrical Design Services decided to cancel one of the Tesla Super Charger stations in the Vacaville Factory Stores. They had to cut some of the mounting tabs off in order to install them and couldn’t return the modules with them missing. So I made them like new again.

8” Split Tee’s Installed For A Line Stop On An In Service Natural Gas Line

 






Another interesting mobile welding job was installing an  8” Split Tee for a Line Stop on an in-service natural gas line. Sometimes it can’t be installed (welded) exactly where the Engineer wants it because of exterior corrosion, so I have to find the best and safest place so I won’t blow through and… well… you know…! Here’s a picture of a very deep pit that would have been catastrophic had I welded over the top of it.

Working In Tight Quarters? No Problem. Croz Mobile Welding Gets It Done.



This job involved a 3” Hot Tap install on an air-line at the Gallo Glass Factory in Modesto for Haskell. Sometimes it’s quite congested and difficult to get to the part of the work that needs to be done, but we got-er-done.

Repairing Some More Rolling Stock - A Day In The Life Of Mobile Welding!

 







Mobile Welder Makes Needed Structural Repair To Boat Trailer!

A customer called me to help him come up with a repair solution for his boat trailer. The rear crossbar had rusted through and the trailer became too dangerous to use. I ended up cutting individual section plates, encompassing the original cross member, and welding it all together. Once I blended the corners It looked like factory and is twice as strong as the original. I elected to leave the ends unwelded to prevent weakening the original crossbar.

Fixing Up Some Rolling Stock. Another Interesting Welding Challenge




Sometimes I'm called to use some of my expertise on rolling stock. Here's an interesting example from several years ago when I was asked if I might repair a trailer with my welding skills. The Vineyard RV Park on Midway Road in Vacaville CA needed some mangled and worn-out fenders on their dump trailer repaired. To help them last much longer, I reinforced them with ½” tubing to keep them from being destroyed prematurely. Another interesting welding day.

Helping Repair A Vacaville Icon

 


I had the distinct opportunity and pleasure to do some mobile welding to the canopy bow brackets on the iconic Nut Tree Carousel in Vacaville and help them get ready for the big Mother’s Day reopening. It is fun to be called on to do some repair to a bit of Vacaville history.
